Hey Ya'll

My name is Lonnie Osborne. I began playing Fiddle at the ripe old age of 30. I've been playing for about 15 years. You do the math. I was first turned on to the Fiddle when I heard
Mark O'Connor play on the Nashville Network. It was Ear Candy.

I've played
Guitar most of my life and took up the Mandolin soon after Fiddle. Fiddling has took me lots of places and made many lifelong friends in the process. I have had the pleasure of being around some of the greatest fiddlers in the world. ("Enough to keep me very humble"). I hold down a full time profession in the commercial heating and cooling buisness but, play music nights, weekends, and at bluegrass festivals. I also teach Fiddle to about five students on Thursday Evenings.
   I'm currently play steady with
Phillip Akemon and Flatlick. Phillip is the nephew of  the late great David (Stringbean) Akemon. He was a regular on the WSM Grand Ole Opry and the popular TV show HEE-HAW. We do several of his songs mixed with traditional bluegrass. We have 2 recordings to our credit. Phillip is also the host of the Stringbean Bluegrass Festival and the fall Folk Life festival. All  in Stringbean's honor.

I reside in London with my wife Sherry, Which
is the Foothills of Eastern Kentucky. I consider myself lucky to live in and be native to such a music rich region.

I want go give God the credit for my musical talents and my Dad and Mom for giving me the confidence to do anything.  Thanks to Sherry for always beliving in me and understanding .
She was the Inspiration for Sherry's Waltz.

Respectfully

Lonnie
